CCIA Lands Multiple Members on New Cannabis Advisory Committee

CCIA would like to congratulate all appointments to the state advisory committee, with special congratulations to CCIA Board Member Kristin Nevedal, CCIA Business Member Avis Bulbulyan, and CCIA Executive member Keith Stephenson.

Kristin Nevedal serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Humboldt’s Finest Farms, is a Board Member of CCIA, and Co-Chairs CCIA’s AG Committee. Kristen co-founded and served on the board of the Emerald Growers Association whose mission was to promote the medicinal, environmental, social, and economic benefits of lawfully cultivated sun-grown medical cannabis from California’s Emerald Triangle region by advocating for public policies that foster a healthy, sustainable medical cannabis industry.

Kristin Nevedal is a proven champion for California cultivators whose expertise and knowledge will bring great value and influence to the state cannabis advisory committee.

SACRAMENTO – The Department of Consumer Affairs today announced the members of the state’s new Cannabis Advisory Committee under the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC).

The committee will advise BCC and the other licensing authorities – the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the California Department of Public Health – on the development of regulations that help protect public health and safety and reduce the illegal market for cannabis.

“The department received hundreds of qualified applications for the committee and reviewed all of them during the selection process,” said Department of Consumer Affairs Director Dean R. Grafilo. “These individuals represent the diverse backgrounds of California and the cannabis industry and have the necessary experience to make the committee successful.”

Committee members serve at the pleasure of the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs. Members will not bepaid, but will be reimbursed for any necessary travel for approved advisory committee meetings.
